War of the Worlds is awesome. After seeing several positive reviews ("makes Independence Day look like Finding Neverland") I went into the movie with high expectations of seeing a Spielberg masterpiece. And Senor Spielbergo delivered. WOTW is absolutely relentless. I want to say it's fun-scary like Jurassic Park, but the sheer intensity and dark themes are on a different level. If you plan on seeing it, it might not be a bad idea to wear an adult diaper, as the visual and audial power is so strong that you might have a hard time keeping your Fruit of the Looms clean.

See the movie. Enjoy the monsters. And thank your lucky stars that we still have Steven Spielberg.

By the way, I heard a very funny (yet very dark) idea to raise money for The Overnight. Somebody suggested that we host a bachelor auction with the proceeds going to our team. I don't know how I feel about that. Part of me thinks it's hysterical, the other part of me think it's horribly inappropriate. Besides, I honestly don't know how many bachelors there are on the team other than myself. So it could make for a pretty sad auction. Funny though!

That's all I got for now. I'll probably have some pretty serious stuff next time so I wanted to write some randomness lately.

My faith has been restored in movie magic. Stevie proved that he is by NO MEANS done making great movies.

I agree with Drew... there were definitely elements of Jurassic Park in there! Made me think of a mix between Jaws and Jurassic Park, actually. But like he said, is a bit more dark than either of those movies, and most definitely a far cry from Close Encounters and E.T.

People... Go see it.

Dookie,
I hate to say it, but I didn't think that it was super-fantastic. It was fun and I'm fairly sure I shat myself once or twice, but I thought that it was kinda lame too. We'll talk. Can't wait to hang out.

Very awesome!! I want to see it! This loser dude at work told me it sucked. But I trust your opinion more.

Hey, when's the Wedding Crashers coming out? I can't wait! Maybe we could see it together! (And no I'm not hitting on you, lol)

Decent flick by summer blockbuster standards, but the ending was just pathetic.
