bone thugs-n-harmony: a place in my heart

i think it's safe to say that certain artists will always hold a special place in your heart, no matter what direction their career has gone. there is a little part of my inner being that will always be reserved for bone thugs-n-harmony.

i had the chance to see them in concert thursday night for the 4th time at the house of blues. the house was packed and ready for classic bone tunes such as '1st of tha month', 'notorious thugs', and 'tha crossroads'. it was very fun seeing a house full of people go wild for a group that is clearly past its prime. i believe i'm correct in saying that bone thugs are the best selling rap group of all time with worldwide sales over 30 million. if i'm wrong, i apologize.

eminem has clearly been my favorite artist for 4 or 5 years now, but from junior high through high school i was all about bone thugs-n-harmony. so it was fun being at the show and knowing the songs word for word when i probably hadnt listened to some of them in at least a couple of years. it's like riding a bike. so despite finding another artist to take their place as my favorite, it was a blast seeing the group i spent much of teenage years idolizing.
